agouralogoTHE LOW DOWN:
AGOURA (4-7 overall, 3-0 Canyon League) lost its first seven games of the season but went unbeaten in league to find itself in the playoffs. Now the Chargers have suddenly won four consecutive after a 24-16 victory over Santa Barbara in the first round and are looking for more. The defense didn’t allow more than eight points vs. league opponents, but allowed more than 28 point per contest overall. Senior QB Zachary Bartlett and senior RB/WR Garrison Thornton are the go-to guys on offense, with Shane Daftari (6-foot-2, 242 pounds) and David Teowee (5-11, 205) providing the bulk up front.
HEAD COACH: Kamran Salem

NotreDameLOGORIVERSIDE NOTRE DAME (8-3 overall, 4-1 Ambassador League) has had an interesting season in defense of its CIF-Southern Section Northwest Division title. The Titans earned back-to-back wins to begin the year but lost two weeks because of the brawl vs. Santa Fe Springs St. Paul, then came back with wins over Santa Margarita Tesoro and San Bernardino Aquinas. A one-point loss to Ontario Christian was a downer, and last week’s 10-point win over Ridgecrest Burroughs in the first round was dampened by an injury to senior RB Ian Zamudio.
HEAD COACH: Derrick Johnson

THE KEY PLAYERS:
Agoura: QB Zachary Bartlett, Sr. (6-foot-3, 192 pounds); RB/WR/DB Garrison Thornton, Sr. (5-11, 160); RB/CB Kyle Thoegerson, Sr. (5-8, 170); RB Ben Fogel, Sr. (5-9, 155); WR/FS Morgan Koff, Sr. (5-11, 175); WR Dylan Ogle, Sr. (6-4, 175); G/C David Twowee, Sr. (5-11, 206); T/NG Shane Daftari, Sr. (6-2, 242); DL Jon Sutcliffe, Jr. (6-4, 185); DE Spencer Salter, Sr. (6-foot, 185); K Riley Magnone, Sr. (5-10, 155).

Riverside Notre Dame: QB Niles Harrell, Sr. (6-foot-1, 200); RB/WB/DB Ian Zamudio, Sr. (5-9, 160); TE/ILB/K Ryan Simpson, Sr. (6-foot, 215); RB/DB Vince Shalow, Sr. (5-5, 158); RB/LB Tyzjon Calhoun, Jr. (5-9, 188); WR/S Jason Kennel, Jr. (6-2, 185); NG Henry Mitchell, Sr. (6-3, 300); OL/DL Raymond Estrada, Sr. (6-2, 275); LB/S Jared Baytosh, Sr. (6-1, 202); DE/LS Dylan Petti, Sr. (6-3, 255); DE/T Jonathan Drinkwater, Sr. (6-2, 220).

THE DIFFERENCE:
Ian Zamudio’s health is always a concern. If the do-it-all dynamo can contribute, he’s good for a two-touchdown lead.

THE FINAL SCORE:
Riverside Notre Dame 33, Agoura 21
