FOUR & MORE: Inland Area QBs

PREP FOOTBALL 2019 (PRESEASON)
BEST INLAND AREA QUARTERBACKS

1. A.J. Duffy, Soph., MoVal Rancho Verde — Already recruited by the biggest college football programs across the country after passing for 40 TDs and nearly 3,000 yards in his first varsity season, Duffy is a generational kind of talent for Rancho Verde, which has had a number of really good quarterbacks come across campus the last 10 years.

2. Carter Freedland, Sr., Corona Centennial — May or may not be the best quarterback on campus but rates as the better of the two getting the snaps last season for the Huskies. Really should separate himself a little further if he’s to enjoy lasting success.

3. Mekhi Lewis, Sr., Grand Terrace — Smart with a strong arm and a quick release, Lewis is the guy the Titans have been grooming for this season as the program looks to take the next step toward regional relevance.

4. Donny Fitzgerald, Jr., Thermal Coachella Valley — Just a statistical gorilla last season with 244 completions for 54 TDs and more than 4,100 passing yards.

AND MORE:
Davonte Grande, Sr., Moreno Valley — Diamond in the rough was extremely efficient (10 TDs, one INT) in his first season as a starter.
Ala Mikaele, Sr., Corona Centennial — The more mobile of the two Huskies signal callers gets early test vs. Mater Dei in opener.
Evan Rowe, Sr., Upland — Passed the eyeball test in 10-for-13, three TD game vs. Norco in the CIF-SS quarterfinals.
C.J. Stroud, Sr., Rancho Cucamonga — Will cut down on INTs to ask, ‘Who is the Baseline League’s best QB?’
