NORCO (4-0 overall, 4-0 Big VIII League) pulled off the upset and are one little, bitty win away from its first league title since the Toby Gerhart days. Yes, it’s true. And it’s been the steady and heady play of junior QB Kyle Crum that has made the difference. The 6-foot-4 gunslinger has led the Cougars into the tunnel and out the other side, and now he’s one win away from legend status.

EASTVALE ROOSEVELT (3-1 overall, 3-1 Big VIII League) has really pounded the rock with juniors Jaz Fong and Jacquez Neal, who have combined for six TDs and more than 600 rushing yards. The Mustangs haven’t been afraid to throw it, either, with sophomore QB Julian Viramontes flinging it all over the field for 12.5 yards per completion with five TDs to match his five INTs.
