FOUR & MORE: Inland Area LBs

1. Skyler Mesa, Sr., Perris Citrus Hill – There might not be a 4-star recruit in this year’s LB class but “Mr. Table” comes closest after producing 30 solo tackles and two sacks from a spot held down by some heavy hitters over the last 10 years.

2. Chase Shackleford, Sr., Riverside King – Led all Inland Area returning players in total tackles (65) and was one of the few bright spots for the Wolves in an otherwise dismal spring season.

3. Cade Moran, Sr., Murrieta Mesa – It’s hard to stand out on defense in the offense-heavy Southwestern League, but an Inland Area-leading 36 solo tackles will do it.

4. Matthew Hodges, Sr., Elsinore – The Tigers’ leader on defense had 42 total tackles (26 solo) and three sacks among his nine tackles for losses.

James Bennett-Monday, Sr., Rancho Verde – A physical force will be needed to stuff the run game and hit the gaps.
Zion Henderson, Sr., Rancho Mirage – One of the Low Desert’s underrated talents had 19 solo tackles in the spring.
Colby Lotts, Sr., Citrus Hill – Had nine sacks and 21 solo tackles as the second piece to Hawks’ great LB core.
Kyle Ott, Sr., Palm Desert –
Major part of Aztecs’ great defense in the spring had 20 solo tackles.
