Murrieta Valley senior Brandon Rose has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after a league-title winning Week 9-B performance as the NightHawks edged Vista Murrieta, 49-48, in a Southwestern League game on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021.
Rose, the first two-time Player of the Week winner this season, completed 25 of 39 pass attempts for a season-high 442 yards and six touchdowns as Murrieta Valley toppled its rival to clinch at least a share of the SWL title.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback is currently sixth in CIF-Southern Section with 2,559 passing yards, and he has 29 passing touchdowns against zero interceptions. In fact, Rose is the only QB is CIF-SS with more than 100 completions without an interception.
