GAME OF THE WEEK: Jurupa Hills at Cajon

THE DETAILS:
Jurupa Hills vs. Cajon
CIF-Southern Section – Week 1
At San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon High School
Kickoff: 7 p.m. PT on Friday, Aug. 19

JURUPA HILLS (0-0 overall, 0-0 Sunkist League) will go as far as the tandem of RB Kamron Taylor and WR/RB/DB Jordan Napier will take them. The level of influence on this team is immense, and their presence has a massive impact on both side of the ball for the Spartans. Junior Caleb Ruiz looks the most logical to get the start at QB.
HEAD COACH: Citos Marinez
ROSTER – QB: #7-Caleb Ruiz, Jr. (5-foot-8, 175 pounds); RB: #5-Kamren Taylor, Sr. (5-10, 185); WR/FS: #2-Jordan Napier, Sr. (6-2, 210); OL: #51-Gary Guthrie (6-5, 280); C: #53-Andrew Cornejo, Sr. (5-9, 220); DL: #9-Arthur Gonzalez, Soph. (6-4, 210); LB: #1-Johnny Ramirez, Sr. (5-9, 195); LB: Ladale Williams, Sr. (5-10, 185); CB: #6-Daniel Encinas (5-9, 155)

CAJON (0-0 overall, 0-0 Citrus League) will continue to have one of the most vicious defenses around, and bank on the incremental improvement of junior QB Martinez Miles, who appears to be growing ever-so-steadily into the part. Miles is at the forefront of that generation of great, mobile quarterbacks coming up in the Inland area right now.
HEAD COACH: Nick Rogers
ROSTER – QB: #4-Martinez Miles, Jr. (6-foot-1, 150 pounds); RB: #0-Damarian Harris, Sr. (6-foot, 205); WR/RB: #9-Jeyquan Smith, Sr. (5-11, 170); WR: #12-Jaden Jones, Sr. (6-3, 235); OL: #78-Isaac Williams, Sr. (6-4, 360); DL: #88-Philader Lee, Sr. (6-3, 255); LB: #17-Deshaun Bedeau, Sr. (6-1, 210); CB: #3-Jamel Sly, Jr. (5-10, 185); K: #84-Richard Seevers, Jr. (6-2, 200)

THE DIFFERENCE:
Size and depth on the offensive line. Cajon has it. Jurupa Valley has very little. The Cowboys defense should wear out the Spartans.

THE FINAL SCORE (PROJECTED):
Cajon 31, Jurupa Hills 21
