FOLLOWING WEEK TWO

1. Vista Murrieta (2-0) — Broncos prepped for a huge game this week with an easy come-from-ahead win over some ultra-Northwest competition.
THIS SEASON: 2-0 overall, 0-0 Southwestern League. LAST SEASON 9-5 overall, 5-0 Southwestern League.
LAST RANKED: No. 1.
LAST GAME: d. South Anchorage (Alaska) 49-8 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: vs. No. 5 Redlands East Valley on FRIDAY.

2. Upland (3-0) — “The ‘U'” sent Jordan back to “The Beach” with its tail between its legs. Six different Highlander Scots scored in the lop-sided victory.
THIS SEASON: 3-0 overall, 0-0 Baseline League. LAST SEASON: 12-1 overall, 5-0 Baseline League.
LAST RANKED: No. 2.
LAST GAME: def. Long Beach Jordan 57-28 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: at Victorville Silverado on FRIDAY.

3. Corona Centennial (1-1) — Pounding on Long Beach Cabrillo pleased Huskies coach Matt Logan. FOMB could see a smile almost crack his face. Junior RB Austin Renken (5-foot-6, 165 pounds) is elusive and hits the hole in top gear. He’s as good as gone if he gets to the second level.
THIS SEASON: 1-1 overall, 0-0 Big VIII League. LAST SEASON: 12-2 overall, 7-0 Big VIII League.
LAST RANKED: No. 3.
LAST GAME: def. Long Beach Cabrillo 61-6 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: vs. Mission Hills Alemany on FRIDAY.

4. Menifee Heritage (3-0) — Patriots averaging more than 325 rushing yards per game and are seemingly on their way toward another title shot.
THIS SEASON: 3-0 overall, 0-0 Sunbelt League. LAST SEASON: 12-2 overall, 5-0 Sunbelt League.
LAST RANKED: No. 4.
LAST GAME: def. Beaumont 37-16 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: vs. Temecula Great Oak on FRIDAY.

5. Redlands East Valley (1-1) — Coach Kurt Bruich scheduled some real doozies this season. The Wildcats got beat by St. Bonaventure and now have to play Vista Murrieta.
THIS SEASON: 1-1 overall, 0-0 Citrus Belt League. LAST SEASON: 11-1 overall, 5-0 Citrus Belt League.
LAST RANKED: No. 5.
LAST GAME: lost 18-7 to Ventura St. Bonaventure in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: at No. 1 Vista Murrieta on FRIDAY.

6. Rancho Cucamonga (2-1) — Offense clicking for Wildcats in huge 40-point victory. Five different players scoring a rushing TD in the win.
THIS SEASON 1-1 overall, 0-0 Baseline League. LAST SEASON: 11-2 overall, 4-1 Baseline League.
LAST RANKED: No. 6.
LAST GAME: def. Pasadena Muir 54-14 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: vs. Fontana Miller at Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos HS on FRIDAY.

7. Fontana Summit (2-1) — Skyhawks bounced back from loss to beat up on a cross-town rival and re-assert themselves as the best team in Fontana.
THIS SEASON: 2-1 overall, 0-0 Sunkist League. LAST SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Sunkist League.
LAST RANKED: No. 8.
LAST GAME: def. Fontana Miller 42-17 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: vs. Rialto at Fontana Miller HS on FRIDAY.

8. Murrieta Mesa (3-0) — The story continues to be the QB. Senior Chase Chambers (6-foot-2, 198 pounds) passed for 469 yards and five TDs in a wild win. His stats in 2012 (88 for 114, 1200 yards, 14 TDs).
THIS SEASON: 3-0 overall, 0-0 Southwestern League. LAST SEASON: 4-6 overall, 0-5 Southwestern League.
LAST RANKED: No. 9.
LAST GAME: def. Hemet Tahquitz 60-47 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: vs. Redlands Citrus Valley on FRIDAY.

9. Riverside North (1-1) — Took it on the chin from Alemany, one of the state’s top-ranked teams, in Week 2. Now there’s the possibility of a losing streak developing with rumors Ohio State-bound TE Marcus Baugh (6-foot-5, 215 pounds) may not play.
THIS SEASON: 1-1 overall, 0-0 Inland Valley League. LAST SEASON: 10-2 overall, 6-1 Big VIII League.
LAST RANKED: No. 7.
LAST GAME: lost 54-14 to Mission Hills Alemany in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.
WEEK THREE: vs. Perris Citrus Hill on THURSDAY.

10. Palm Springs (3-0) — Indians stay in the Top 10 after putting some arrows through Silverado, one of the High Desert’s better teams.
THIS SEASON: 3-0 overall, 0-0 Desert Valley League. LAST SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Desert Valley League.
LAST RANKED: No. 10.
LAST GAME: def. Victorville Silverado 24-7 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 7.

JUST MISSED: Perris Citrus Hill (3-0), Temecula Chaparral (3-0), Menifee Paloma Valley (3-0).
