Barnett, the Sharks’ 6-foot-4 junior QB, ran for 246 yards and five TDs on 11 carries, and also completed 10 of 16 passes for 132 more yards and one TD in Santiago’s finest victory of the season to date.

In a bit of a twist, National Football League Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson gave a pregame talk to Barnett and his teammates before Friday’s game, of which Barnett told Eric-Paul Johnson of The Press-Enterprise “He game a very inspiring speech,” and that he had “(N)ever had a game quite like that before.”
