1. Corona Centennial (2-2) — Huskies enjoyed the bye week — Coach Matt Logan swung an East Coast NFL trip — because they’re right in the thick of the conversation for a state playoff berth.
THIS SEASON: 2-2 overall.
LAST SEASON: 12-3 overall, 5-0 Big VIII League. 2012: 14-2, 5-0.

2. Upland (3-2) — The ‘U’ got back to its winning ways on the road in Ventura vs. St. Bonaventure — no small feat.
THIS SEASON: 3-2 overall.
LAST SEASON: 9-4 overall, 4-1 Baseline League. 2012: 12-1, 5-0.
LAST RANKED: No. 5.
LAST GAME: defeated Ventura St. Bonaventure 25-21 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 26.

3. Menifee Heritage (5-0) — Patriots are finding ways to win — the hallmark of any good defending champion — but last week’s victory was really close.
THIS SEASON: 5-0 overall.
LAST SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Sunbelt League. 2012: 11-2, 5-0.
LAST RANKED: No. 3.

4. Moreno Valley Rancho Verde (4-1) — Mustangs shrugged off Week 3 loss to REV by scoring more than 55 points for third time this season en route to a lop-sided victory.

LAST SEASON: 11-3 overall, 6-0 Inland Valley League. 2012: 10-4, 5-1.

5. Perris Citrus Hill (4-1) — Hawks have settled into a nice groove on offense, scoring an average of nearly 35 points per game thus far.

6. Vista Murrieta (2-2) — Broncos suffered their worst loss in more than five years, and limited to their lowest point total since 2010 last week vs. Orange Lutheran.

LAST RANKED: No. 2.

7. Chino Hills (3-1) — Huskies only loss so far is on the road vs. JSerra Catholic in Week 1 but has non-league wins over Hart, Roosevelt and Bishop Amat.

LAST SEASON: 7-4 overall, 3-2 Sierra League. 2012: 7-3-1, 4-1.

8. Rancho Cucamonga (3-2) — After starting the season 2-0 the Cougars have an up-and-down go of it. A week off is probably just right.

LAST RANKED: No. 6.

9. Riverside Poly (4-0) — Bears scored a season-high 49 points as senior QB Chandler Drachslin passed for six TDs in an easy win.

LAST RANKED: No. 9.

10 (tie). Redlands East Valley (3-1) — Wildcats retained the Smudge Pot as Malik Lovette went off for four TDs and nearly 300 total yards to beat their cross-town rival.
THIS SEASON: 3-1 overall, 1-0 Citrus Belt League.
LAST SEASON: 5-6 overall, 4-1 Citrus Belt League. 2012: 5-5, 4-1.
LAST RANKED: No. 10.
LAST GAME: defeated Redlands 40-13 in a Citrus Belt League game on Friday, Sept. 26.
WEEK FIVE: vs. Fontana Miller on Friday, Oct. 3.

10 (tie). San Bernardino San Gorgonio (4-1) — Spartans went to the High Desert and got a reality check.
